Alex’s career reaches a turning point when he meets Antoine Réquéna, aka DJ Sharklo, with whom he sets up a guitar/turntable duo centered on their mutual influences: rock, rap and jazz.
The gigs follow one another and the combo makes some noizzzzzzzz. Their first LP, Sharkee, produced in 2006, opens the doors of the festivals (Trans Musicales, Tours de Scène…) and of international tours (Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, USA, Canada).
The full length album Free (January 2007) gives them the opportunity to do the first parts of famous artists and the duo follows, among others, Asa’s French tour. One gig at the Bataclan sends them to New York and New York will send them, in October 2008, to Ottawa and Canada.
Dates shower down but the duo finds the time to compose and record the album I Like This (march 2008), an independent production, still in order to remain free. A number of French and foreign radios broadcast it.
After more than 300 concerts and 10 years of practice, at only 23, Alex does not intend to stop after such a good start and multiplies collaborations and experiences, composes for movies, works, works and works again.
In July 2008, the duo becomes a trio after the arrival of a saxophonist (Jean-Louis Loizeau).
“When I take pleasure in playing on stage, the audience feels it, and takes pleasure in listening. It
is this exchange which urges me to be a musician.”
