A propos de Axel Chill

Depuis quelques années, AxeL ChiLL se consacre entièrement à sa passion: La chanson.
Une passion née dans les années 80 où il se fait la voix en écoutant en boucle les disques de Balavoine.
Il grandit dans les cafés-concerts de sa Bretagne natale avec divers groupes jusqu'en 97 où il intègre une école de spectacle parisienne.
C'est là que débute pour lui une véritable aventure. Tout d'abord en tant qu'auteur-compositeur mais aussi en tant qu'interprète. (standards, spectacles et comédies musicales...)
Féru de l'humain, de ses comportements, AxeL adopte dans ses chansons ce qu'il appelle la théorie du milieu, mettant en opposition les sentiments au gré de textes inspirés et subtils. A l'instar du Yin et Yang…Un peu de plus dans le moins. Un peu de moins dans le plus. De la gaieté dans la nostalgie. De l'adrénaline dans la mélancolie. De la douceur dans la puissance. De l'innovation dans la tradition... L'équilibre !
Le style : chansons ! Et pourquoi pas de variétés, en occultant si justement la connotation devenue péjorative de ce mot. Chansons pop, rock, parfois swing... qu'importe. Chansons populaires, qui vous parlent. Des morceaux originaux et réussis dégagés de toutes contraintes extra-musicales. Tout réside dans le son, l'attitude scénique, la comédie des personnages... Car, là est l'essentiel: jouer la comédie devant un public pluriel qu'il teste depuis de nombreuses années et qui le suit avec enthousiasme.
Alors, chanteur qui joue la comédie ou comédien qui chante ? Chanteur à voix ou à textes ? Quid ?
AxeL ChiLL , sur scène en solo ou accompagné par 4 musiciens, c'est sucré-salé, pétillant et épicé d'une bonne humeur communicative comme les 14 titres de l’album La fleur de l’âge et les nouvelles chansons dont le single Free For a Day sur lequel sera réalisé son premier clip vidéo et dont la sortie est prévue début 2010.

For a few years now, Axel Chill has devoted all his energy to his passion: singing. A passion that was born in the 80’s when he started crooning while constantly listening to Balavoine’s records. He made a name for himself by concerts in his native Brittany cafés with various groups until 1997 when he joined a performing arts school in Paris.
So started a genuine venture for him. First of all as a composer-songwriter but also as a singer (hit-songs, variety shows and musicals …)
Axel is a ‘human being and his behaviours’ buff so he adopts in his songs what he calls the theory of the middle, contrasting the feelings. Following the example of the yin and the yang … A bit of plus inside the minus. A bit of minus inside the plus. Some cheerlfulness inside the nostalgia. Some adrenalin inside the melancholy. Some tenderness inside the strength. Newness inside the tradition … Balance !
The style: Songs ! And why not variety songs, by hiding precisely the derogatory connotation associated to this word. Pop, rock, sometimes swing songs …. It doesn’t matter which. Popular songs that really speak to you. Everything lies in the sound, the theatrical approach, the actors’s stage business … Because here is the most important: acting in front of a diversified audience Axel has been testing for several years and that supports him with great enthusiasm.
Then, a singer acting or an actor singing ? A singer with a strong voice or with well-written lyrics only ? What else ? On stage, Axel Chill solo or with 4 other musicians represents a varied repertory where we can find the ‘la fleur de l’âge’ album’s 14 titles and the news songs as the hit Free For A Day coming out at the beginning of 2010 with its video clip.
